Oneida
Lake Watershed Project
In
1998, the Central New York Regional Planning & Development Board
launched a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation-funded
project to develop a strategy for the southern region of the Oneida
Lake watershed. The Oneida Lake Task Force was formed, which consisted
of a partnership of agencies, organizations, nonprofit and homeowner
groups, and other key decision-makers throughout the watershed.
As a result of these partnerships, many groups have looked beyond
agency and county borders to identify common goals and to share
resources.
